In cooperation with the Mobility Working Group of the Science Platform Sustainability 2030, the Berlin Governance Platform held the trialogue "Sustainable on the move - making mobility attractive now".
The Mobility Working Group of the Science Platform Sustainability 2030 addresses the challenges of the transport transition: Mobility plays a central role in societies worldwide: as a basic human need, for the exchange of goods, but also as an expression of quality of life. The downside: All in all, human mobility consumes huge amounts of finite resources and its emissions have a negative impact on the climate, air quality and health. The goals agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement and the 2030 Agenda require swift and comprehensive action, especially in the transport sector.
On 19 June 2019, the working group discussed this with stakeholders from politics & administration, business, organised civil society, academia and the media at the Trialogue.
